Sure it can be real. There are millions of species of plants and insects I've never heard of. Since I've never heard of them, I may not belive they exist. But, when shown proof otherwise, I change my mind.
Existence is independent of human belief. There could be purple tigers and invisible goblins, for all we know. We've just yet to discover proof of them.

the word belief is used when abscence of fact is meant eg. i do not believe in faries,God,or elves. also if someone relegated something to a conspiracy theory say for example a country's imperialism as well as protectionism of said country's interests this would not make it go away but it would be considered something not real. even if people die in a horrible fashion as a result of the ''protecting'' of these interests . this can be any country but the deaths are still real but no believed in in this case. in a way people still do not ''believe'' the real people did as a result of these policies as the people were not seen as such just obstacles to the interests of whoever it may be at the time

Excellent question, although I'm not quite sure what you mean. I mean, it's like saying (for example): "I don't believe in the government", but you know they are real. Or do you mean like God and Heaven? That really is a hard one.....
.....I think it is something to do with the: "If a tree falls down in an empty forest, who hears it?" or something like that - human beings are generally narrow-minded people, and so because we don't believe in something, we therefore think it doesn't exist.

Because many people's world view is indeed based on 'belief' - it is faith based, rather than evidence based.
Which means the converse is true, many people believe that something is real because they believe in it!

Good question.
I announced membership into my "invisible " army and pissed some real people off.
I thought that people may think that I was crazy for announcing the "invisible army", but I didn't think that they would be pissed off......
Why were they angry?
Do they know the existience of the Angelic Order of Battle and the prayer Warriors who support them?

I don't believe in the U.S tax code....
... but one of these days, I will meet the tax man..... and he will leave me convinced the tax code is real and his power over my life is real.
