Remington makes a one inch tile hole saw with the diamond grit and they are about $15, but they are well worth the investment if you want to keep your tile looking nice. Don't try to get by with the cheaper wood hole saw. You'll ruin your tile.

Diamond Abrasive Bit. Sold in many sizes. It looks like a "hole saw", but it gas grit embedded on the shaft. Good Luck
Look at these.

Oh, and no matter what anybody tells you, DO NOT USE A HAMMER DRILL!!!!! This will only break the bit, or shatter the tile. After you cut all the way thru the tile and backer board, you might have to switch to a standard wood cutting hole saw to go thru the countertop substrait. The diamond bits don't work well on plywood, hdfb, or osb. They burn up easily. You'll need to drill slow, and keep the countertop surface cool and lubricated with water.
Trust me on this, I make all my own countertops. I am a Home Builder.
Let me guess, you're installing a soap dispenser?
Thanks Capt!

You need a carbide bit intended for drilling tile.
Go to the Local Lowes and ask for one.
