Turn back time. Decide not to be a Lawyer. Work on not sounding like a conman when he speaks. Decide to worry more about the strength of his character than his appearence. Not use the death of his son or his wife's cancer as a political catapult. In other words, change entirely who he is.

To get through the primaries he needs Hilary to have a sex scandal and Obama to just have a verbal meltdown.
Or he needs to retool his message. The whole "2 Americas" speech was new in 2004.
And quiet down his wife. Nothing worse than a person perceived as a sore loser except a sore loser who's wife is doing the complaining.

Let's see stop pandering to the LEFT WING Nuts of his party and try ad go a little more to the center of his party. For a guy that made millions suing Doctors for malpractice, he seems sought of a hypocrite screaming about socialized medicine. He flip, flops, and for a guy just needs to be honest, He looks and sounds like a used car salesman. He also doesn't know the first thing about security and terrorism and he needs to praising Hugo Chavez.

He has to win Iowa to have any chance. I'm not sure what else he can do - most people are buying into either Hillary or Obama even though Edwards has more detailed plans on how to deal with global warming, health care, poverty, and Iraq. Maybe he'd have a shot if he became a black woman.

Come up with the perfect lie so as people don't know what he really thinks of his fellow citizens, how he actually sees this country and it's place in the world, and how he views himself. It will be tough but his wife could help, after all isn't she fighting most of his battles already

Convince the DNC that neither Clinton nor Obama is 'electable,' so that they'll hand him the early 'caucus' states (a caucus is nothing like a secret ballot, party aparatchiks can pretty nearly dictate the results).

Muss up his hair a bit, roll up his sleeves, sweat a bit, got some dirt on his shirt and muzzle his wife - would be nice starters. Then he can stop his fake rhetoric about how in touch he is with the "other America".
