Do just the opposite as you would had done to try and confuse people about which of you is which.
Find a way that you can be identified easily by you child.
Do you have a pet name for them? If so use it each time you are around don't let your twin use it. It then becomes "code" that you are the parent.

Keezymama has a good idea. Maybe you could always wear a necklace that your twin doesn't? Soon he'll know that only Mommy has that necklace, or bracelet, or whatever.

It will be awhile. Our son was confused at the age of 2.5 between his dad and his uncle.
