Here are some super simple crafts for the holidays. Most are very simple to make and don't take a lot of time.
Holiday Recipes and Crafts - http://www.ornament-shop.net/holiday-recipes.htm (scroll half way down)
Simple Craft Directions - http://www.craft-kits.net/craft-projects.htm
Reindeer food is always a hit too.
Directions for Reindeer Food:
Mix a dry oatmeal oats with colored glitter, put a few tablespoons in each baggie and tie the baggie with a curled ribbon.
Add a tag to the ribbon along with this poem:
Sprinkle on the lawn at night
The moon will make it sparkle bright
As Santa's reindeer fly and roam
This will guide them to your home.

well, uniqueness is always key. I love to make candies and cover things with chocolate, but beaded jewelry, doll clothes and even ( if you are brave enough) a Craft stand where kids can make their own key chains, or bracelets is always fun. Try using pony beads for the littler kids that come in many shapes and colors and smaller beads for the big kids. Offer advice, but don't hang over them. You can cut lengths of string ahead of time and sell charms and such for a little extra. It's fun and it lets kids, and adults sometimes too, have fun and enjoy the craft show all the more.

If you go to the site below, it has many religious themed craft kits. They are quite inexpensive.

Anything for Christmas would sell well now. Gel candles are really easy to make, and you can pick up all the supplies at the craft store. Do a web search for " gifts in a jar ". You'll find recipes for the ingredients to put in the jars...say to make bean soup. They also tell you what to put on the instruction cards to hang on the side of the jar. You can get the mason jars at the grocery store. You should also look at this site for ideas.

Clocks in interesting settings are always popular and bring a a good price. Wreaths, coffee cans, and planter pots is what I mean by interesting settings.
We made coasters once. You go to a building store and get these real marble tiles that have lots of personality anyway. Then go over to a craft store and get rubber stamps. We had some small ones that had verses on them and then bigger one for the background. You put down the smaller stamp, mask it over, then put down the bigger background one in either the same, contrasting, or complimentary ink to the smaller stamp. Then you spray a sealant on them and put small pieces of felt on the bottoms. Sell four of them in sets.
They were a lot of fun and really very nice. Many of the women in your church probably already have verse stamps and other stamps you could use. Contact the scrapbookers.
Email me if this is as clear as mud

There are some great things you can make for craft fairs!
-decorated flip-flops (very hot the past couple years)
-amiguriumi (crocheted or knitted animals - been very good sales lately)
-any kind of jewelry, provided its priced right, will sell
-felted bags (knit or crochet), very popular
-bottle cap jewelry and magnets (super easy and all you need is pictures, bottle caps, and plastic resin)
-record bowls (very popular but sometimes can be too many at a sale)
-decorated knitting needles or crochet hooks (very popular)
Hopefully that gets you started! I frequent tons of craft fairs and that's what I see at the really good ones.

Are you doing this for a group fund-raising project or for yourself? Also, do you like being involved with people or would you rather create something quietly & work hard at your sales?
Personal poems .... caricatures ... things like that usually make a lot of money due to word-of-mouth and people noticing the crowd around your booth.
Best wishes,
Jaime
