Not sure what to feed them! The 2 breeds are mixing fine. Threw in some goldfish flakes, hoping minnows will adapt to that?? No filter or anything. I actually took the live minnows from their bait cup and saved them in a bucket and brought them home. What can I do now for them? Call me the fish rehabilitator!!! LOL!

Well thats very nice that your saving the fish. And i have done this before. lol. You can just feed them the regular fish food, flakes will be fine. They should be fine and they should get along fine with the goldfish. Just make sure that they dont pick on the goldfish any. But treat them as if they are goldfish.

I did the same thing one time. I had 6 minnows left over from a fishing trip my son took and put them in the aquarium with some other gold fish and they out lived the gold fish. I feed them the same thing and they lived for over a year.

they should be fine living in goldfish conditions -- don't worry if they don't eat the first couple of days -- fish usually go through an adjustment stage. minnows make great mates for goldfish -- except if the goldfish get to big the minnows become dinner.

I quit putting bait shop minnows in my tanks because they have diseases that will infect your fish. Happened every time I did that. So watch your goldfish carefully for signs of ick and other problems.

now hope the minnows don't give your gold fish some disease?
i dont' know what they eat, but likely, the will eat anything when hungry, so the fish food might do ok.
