Is Rivera just tired right now? That's the third straight game in which he's given up a run, and he got rocked pretty bad today.

Yankees - I'm a proud fan of the team that you never see in the standings because you only have to look at the top two spots in the AL East - the Blue Jays. Perennial third-place finishers, and headed for third again this season! But I'm one of those fans who can watch any team, and I respect the Yankees as much as any organization because of their commitment to winning.

I don't know whats happening with him.

It can be tiring, it can be a every day thing, it can be he's getting old.

Many things happen in Baseball you cant explain.

By The Way, are you a fan of any baseball team?

I think Mariano Rivera is starting to get past his prime, but at the same time too, regardless on what you think of the Orioles, if you aren't on your game against Nick Markakis and Miguel Tejada, they will make you pay. Aubrey Huff has also been tearing the cover off of the ball this month too.

That's what happened to today. The Orioles are 8-4 against the Yankees this season, for whatever reason they have a swagger against NY, and that includes going against Mariano Rivera who did initially blow his save opportunity before getting the win in the first game of the series, now today he gets the loss.

feels like somebody is attempting to stir the pot and reason hardship. i do no longer think of the Angels could permit Rivera escape with throwing a spit ball. somebody could have caught that and introduced it to the umpires interest. Apparatenly what Rivera does each and every game has never been a project so why deliver it up now and attempt and initiate something. feels like somebody desires bypass strengthen up.

Rivera will be 38 this winter so I suspect Father Time is catching up to him. He's been great for most of his 13 seasons... but his current ERA is the highest since his rookie campaign.

I think he is getting tired, he was under used for too long this season and last week they were trying to pitch him more than one inning like he used to do...he is not htat pitcher anymore. He is slowly losing the nastiness on his pitches and is having to find other ways to get other guys out. He will correct it by the postseason but this may be his swan song in NY.

We'll be okay, as long as we sweep boston this upcoming series we can still win the AL East.....or at least solidify the wildcard!

He's had a rough go of it the past few games, it happens. I'm sure he's just fine.
