Does anyone have any information on a modeling agency in Minnesota called Image 1? They are supposedly doing a "scouting" in sioux City IA and some other places, and are requiring a 39 dollar fee for some sort of seminar.

ITS A SCAM! Don't pay money up front for anything. That is what TYRA BANKS said the day I was sick at home and watching the Tyra Banks show. She would know.

Most of those model and band scouts pretty much rip you off. You'll need to pay for your photos, but the agency should work for you and just take a cut of the money you make (I think). I could see paying for a seminar if you want, but it very well could be a scam. You shouldn't be paying for an audition if that is what this is.

A scam.
Your instinct is good, stay away from them.
They are charging a fee, another bad sign.
Don't throw away money going to a seminar.
Legitimate agencies do not scout for models in small towns.
They reqest that models mail photos to the agency.
If they like the photo they will contact the model.
Unfortunately, you will be out $39.00 by going to the seminar.
The modeling industry is located in New York City.
If you want to model, you have to live in NYC.

Joe, joe, joe. There is no such thing as an online talent agency. They are all scams. Period. End of story. The end. One of the quickest and easiest ways for you to educate yourself about the business is mere clicks away on Amazon or a trip down to your nearest bookstore. There you can find book after book, after book on the business of entertainment. The reality of the entertainment business. There is no mystery to it really but there sure seems to be a lot of cloudy mystery when you don't know what you're doing, which you do not. Spend 40 bucks on two or three books before you give another scam your money.
