My 4 month old was just diagnosed with CP. I want to know how to cope. He is the youngest of 6 and I am so overwhelmed. I want to know whet the best therapies and treatments are.

It's always a drag to discover that your child has something challenging - but it could be worse.

With CP you're lucky. A lot of uneducated people assume people with CP are retarted because of the way they move and sometimes their speech patterns. This is definately a negative of the condition - but luckily they're a normal person inside. He'll find supportive friends who see him for who he really is, and it'll be okay. PEOPLE with CP are normal - it's just their BODIES can't always keep up with them.

I am not educated on this subject just wanted to say that I am so sorry that you and the child has to go thru this. I do know that you can look it up on internet, I did about Bipolar disease. Found out treatments and all. Again I am truely sorry But the Lord will help you cope and you will make it thru for it ur baby and u will continue to lve him/her. I will pray for you.

Definitely get with a support group in your area. You need to relate and see how other married couples are coping with this.
