Wash tree with soapy water! I take the outdoor Windex empty bottle fill with dawn straight no water attach to water hose and go to town probaly need to spray other trees and shrubs also look on ground see if you see in webs for the worms spray ground also will not hurt lawn! Just kills the worms I believe they are called web worms good luck!

You may be looking at the green fruit worm, so far the most common variety of fruit worms. or you may be looking at pupal stages of the other borer varieties.
