i have a linksys wireless router, which is connected to my cable modem as well as my DVR (ReplayTV -- to get automatic updates to the TV programming schedules).

Well, I found that my DVR was no longer receiving updates to the programming schedule because it wasn't connecting to the network properly, so I updated the DVR's network settings (IP, DNS servers) that i got by typing ipconfig/all on my computer, and that seemed to fix my DVR.

However, now I can no longer get internet access on my laptop. My laptop can detect my wireless router, but I get no internet access. What can I do to get my internet access back on my laptop?

(By the way, I'm writing this from work since I have no web connection at home.)

For wireless connections, do the usual: view available wireless networks > find your network > connect. If that fails, go to Network Connections > right-click your wireless connection > disable then re-enable it and try again.
After that, I would suggest trying to manually configure your wireless connection and/or resetting your router.
As a last-case scenario, you can even remove the wireless adapter from the Device Manager, restart the computer, and start from scratch.

in case you place your IP handle on your DVR comparable to your pc then you definately've an IP handle confilict. the perfect prepare could be to set the two one among them to DHCP (computerized ip handle assigning)
