is abortion the same as murder? someone told me its not cause the fetus depends on the mother right njow , when its born and can breath on its own then it would be murder if you killed it, but not now at 6 weeks preg

I don't think it's murderer but I want to stop abortions, so you should stop them too, but when you have an abortion you would be destroying human life, kids are the future of this world. It is murderer destroying human life, but it's not illegal to have an abortion, even though it would be YOUR fault for killing human life, but it was your baby and you choose to do it..

Each person has to make a conscious decision on this topic. No one can answer this except you. If you feel an abortion is wrong and would devastate you then yes you consider it murder. If you feel every child born or unborn has a right to happiness then yes it is murder. If you don't care and feel it it an unwanted infection to your body then no it is not. My friend considered an abortion the day she found out she was pregnant, tried everything possible to set up an appointment but for some reason never made to them...something always happend where she couldn't get there. She can't even look at her child with out hating the father and despising the child. My other friend had an abortion and she is completely devastated every time she looks at a child because her little one would be about the same age now. I know that pregnancy is a very difficult process and that childbirth is scary but if you feel you would act like either of my friends I personally would recommend adoption even a friend who can't have children to take the baby over abortion. This is a moral question and the only one who can answer it is you. Whatever you do decide make sure you can look yourself in the mirror the next morning.

Look, only you know your situation. Murder or not is an insane topic. People are so passionate about this topic there almost mental. You will be the one to live with your decision the rest of your life. It will probably be one of the most difficult ones you ever make. Lots of variables to consider--is there a father who cares? -- are you just a kid yourself? It depends on your religion where the opinions are going to be. Some people say that life begins at conception -- to them it is murder. Other religions say that the baby needs to be able to live outside the mother for it to murder which means that 3rd trimester abortions are out but 1st and 2nd trimester are not murder. I learned in my religious studies class that the baby is not alive until the head leaves the mothers' body which means that a baby whose legs come out first (breech baby) could be killed on the way out if the mother's life was in danger.

It is not a legal murder, but it does end a human life. It is murder to kill any post-birth human, even if they are totally dependent on someone else. I personally don't think that age (prenatal) and location (uterus) should be special criteria for someone's rights.
However, as the law stands, it is up to you. I applaud you for getting other opinions, because for-profit abortion clinics have a tendency to sugar-coat things. The site below is good, explains abortion procedures in simple English with NO nasty pictures.

It depends on who you talk to...some say yes and some say no. Did you know that they also perform abortions when the baby is old enough to be on it's own?? as it is coming out, they stick it in the back of the head...personally I am against abortion, unless it is to save a persons life....So many people that can't have babies, will adopt them...And you can find places that will take care of you until you have it..But your choice..Good luck.

Take a look at your 16 month old...the picky eater...what do you think? Yes, it's murder. As a mother, it is your responsibility to nurture your unborn baby until it can "breathe" on it's own. And just because a newborn can breathe on its own doesn't mean it can care for itself. How would your 16 month old do living on his own? He'd die. Just as it's your responsibility to take care of him; it IS your responsibility to take care of the life within you.

Fetus is Latin. It means offspring or bringing forth. So if you terminate, which means kill, then you are killing your offspring. The baby is in development. People will say it's your body but let's say if someone were to give you something that caused you to miscarry but didn't hurt your body, then would that be wrong? After all, YOU didn't die but the baby did. The law will sentence someone to jail for fetal homicide it they hurt or kill a pregnant woman but if she does it then its supposed to be different.

No it's not. Right now "it's" nothing but a group cells with the potential of growing into a fetus. A fetus is not viable outside the woman's body until 20 weeks but abortions are generally recommended before 12 weeks.
If you are planning on getting an abortion then get it done asap as it is easier on your body and your peace of mind.
Murder is when you kill a human being so again the answer is... no, abortion is not murder.
