Ok! i bought my car off a used car lot! Its a 2005 Chevy Malibu Classic! I got it with no warranty from that lot but is it still possible to have came with a warranty from the manufacturer? My car broke down last week! It has low mileage and is still a rather new car! Think its emissions or something else! The fact is my newer model car doesnt work, start, or run! Of course! I cant afford a new engine due to no car to make it to work! Its crazy how 1 unfortunate situation can affect another! No car,no work! No work, cant make car payment! Dang! Real crazy like! But its fact! What can i do? Does anyone out there have a cheap car or one i can take over payments to get out of this jam? What can i do? And i need an answer to my initial question! What would you do? No money saved for down payment until i work again! What would u do?

You are in an unfortunate situation. Next time you buy a car with no warranty ( or "as is") hire a mechanic to check the car out first.

Back to your current problem ... I also would check with an authorized dealer about your car as it is possible the vehicle could still have some sort of warranty ESPECIALLY if the problem is emissions realated. Emissions controls have at least a five year warranty.

You got screwed either way. Go to an authorized Chevrolet dealer and ask them if the car is still under warranty. Most new car warranties are still valid if the car's ownership has been transferred.

And don't buy a Chevy next time :)

How long have you had the car? If it's been 30 days or less the car lot has to repair anything that is wrong. It is called the Lemon Law. It keeps these car places from selling you a bad car. And sorry my older model car is collecting dust in the yard cause it doesn't work either and I'm not giving up my new dodge ram truck : ) Good luck, sorry to hear about your misfortunes I know it sucks.!
