Adults aren't any less racist than they were 50 years ago, 100 years ago or even 1,000 years ago. Racism isn't just a black / white / Asian thing. Racism has it's roots deeply embedded in a local and regional area. In Africa , most tribes are extremely racist and that is what creates the rebellions, civil wars etc. However, in Southern US States, it is clear that many Yanks are openly racist whereas, in the North they are more restricted through fear of legal action against them. In the UK, we are more tolerant and generally more law abiding than the majority of other nations. We respect our Law and therefore, if our law says that we cannot do something and / or say something, we tend to respect it, in public. In private, it's a different story. Tolerance is wearing thin, in the UK and the Government are aware of this. The Government are aware that trouble is on the horizon as more and more people are openly showing their real thoughts. More and more people are showing their real feelings in public. Most white British feel that their country (homeland) has been invaded and they have had their freedoms and rights removed by the invaders. The younger generations have less tolerance and are willing to show their anger. That is where the Government have identified as the roots to our future problems. That is why the Government is willing to spend millions on promoting culture etc. However, it's a waste of both money and time as humans, like other animals, are territorial creatures so therefore, racism has always been with us and always will be with us. We just have to make sure that tolerance stays with us.

Unfortunately racism hangs around like a bad odor that won't go away.
There has been a definite increase in bi-racial marriages, which would indicate that in some degree racism is fading. There is nothing like the intense discrimination so abundant in the '40's and 50's. Hollywood seems to be wide open to talents of all backgrounds, much more so than mainstream America.
But just today news came out that umpires of the same race or ethnicity as the pitcher call in favor of that pitcher more often than they do for a pitcher of a different race or ethnicity. I'm sure the umps aren't even aware of this. This is indeed subtle racism.
As for young black males, they are perceived, rightly or wrongly, as being hostile and anti-intellectual. This appeals to some people (rap fans) but it is a huge handicap in the world of jobs. The legal system is completely prejudiced against young black males - look at how many of them are in prison - the stats are astounding.
YBMs fear that if they assimilate, they will lose their culture. If they don't, they can't fit in. They're caught between a rock and a hard place.

Since I am an old f**t AND can REMEMBER things, I can truthfully state that "racism" is much more prevalent now than 50 years ago. It is just the method in which the media reports things. They don't print or report the news; they incorporate yellow journalism and create their own truths, create their own news.
By the way, since you mentioned "ancient history", the ancients were far less "racist" than their modern counterparts. When the Roman legions marched, skin color was not a consideration; conquering was. Simple facts.

I think there's less racism than 10 years ago. But I don't think it's gone. And I doubt it will ever be completely gone because there are periodic resurgences.
50 years sounds like a long time but it's not really. We really have made significant progress in 40 years since the Civil Rights era, but OTOH we passed a constitutional amendment in the 1860s saying that blacks were just as good as whites and in 100 years there was not much progress.

In general i do believe people are more enlightened regarding race. Each new generation is more open than the last. BUT, i fear that Religious differences are becoming the world's biggest problem. From the hatred of the Muslims to the " non-believers" and from the narrow views of American evangelicals..we have much to fear.

No, just wiser and more experienced.
It is my belief that if we could bring humanity down to one race and religion, mankind would find other reasons to fight, hair or eye colour maybe. Since time immemorial it seems to be mans way, out of want and greed not necessity.

"What say you; report says unlawful immigrants some distance much less possibly than U.S. born voters to commit crime?" I say you'll be able to desire to reread the object you published. the object many times makes use of the be conscious "immigrants" and the information are for all foreign places-born, lumping mutually unlawful AND criminal immigrants. it may be exciting to evaluate stats for unlawful immigrants purely and criminal immigrants purely as against community-born voters. it is my guess that the incarceration fee for criminal immigrants could be very low because convictions for many kinds of crimes could disqualify them from getting an immigrant visa or a eco-friendly card. California's foreign places-born inhabitants is extremely distinctive. purely a splash extra advantageous than 0.5 come from Mexico, El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua, the international places of foundation for many unlawful immigrants. extra advantageous than 30% of California's foreign places-born are Asian, and Asians have the backside incarceration costs. once you hit upon information comparing incarceration costs for unlawful immigrants as against community-born, do come back and proportion with us, thank you.
