My doctor did Laproscopy to make sure all was normal and also did a Hysterascopy, thats the one where they inject dye inside you to see if the flow is open from your ovaries to your uterus through your tubes. Its outpatient and will have you in bed for the day. No Biggie And I also always suggest you go to FertilityFriend.com to do all your charting . ITS FREE!

If you are under 35 and have been trying to get pregnant for 1 year then it is time to see a dr. If you are ovuer 35 and have been trying for 6 months it is time to see a dr. Or no matter what age you are if your periods are irregular, you have been diagnosed with a gyn problem such as pcos, endometriosis, pid, etc, then you need to see a dr before trying to get pg.
There is no single test for infertility, it is a battery of tests for both partners. The man will undergo a semen analyasis.
The woman has to have a pap smear, blood work, ultrasound, hsg to check tubes, and several other tests to find the cause of infertility.

You should track your period and get an ovulation test kit. If you find out that you are ovulating, that's half of the battle to getting pregnant. If you are, and you can't conceive after trying for 6 months (using an ovulation prediction test) then your partner should get his sperm checked for motility and sperm count, both of which can reduce your chances of getting pregnant to almost zero if they are on the low side.

It depends on how long you have been trying. Give some time and I know this sounds silly or a tale but try robotussin
