Most definitely SVU. When I was with NCIS (Naval Criminal Investigative Service) I work some case that's closely related to sexual offenses involving from child molestation to neglect and physical abuse.
I was surprise that most of the cases on SVU has the same concept of the real live cases that I have to work with.

Law and Order SVU is the best one, not in terms of who's hot and who's not, like your question implies, but it's the closest thing to the real deal (unlike CI).

SVU for me too. There was that "Trial" one where you saw the perps planning it, like you could see into their heads. I didn't care for that part of the series.

I don't watch Law and Order, but I will say this. My favorite law would have to be Murphy's Law, and my favorite order would be the 10 piece chicken nugget meal from McDonalds!
