This was inspired by a tough choice I had to make on one of my other questions.

Farmers. Most of us with only a little bit of reading could figure out how to grow vegetables. Few of us, however, can practice medicine upon ourselves. For example, could you operate on yourself? How about something really tricky like a quadruple bypass you need to live? Even if all you have is a flower garden sized piece of ground, you can grow some leaf lettuce, turnips, potatoes, cucumbers and squash and onions. With turnips you can eat the tops and the bottoms. And potatoes can be grown in old tires by filling the bottom tire with soil and straw and planting potatoes, waiting for them to grow over the top of the tire and then putting another tire on top and continuing with the straw/soil mixture times three or four tires so you are growing 'vertically.' Cucumbers can be trained to grow on a trellis so they can be grown vertically as well. Therefore, you don't really have to have a large lot to grow enough veggies for two. Plus home grown vegetables always taste better than anything you can buy at market because you harvest as needed so they aren't sitting around getting old and flavorless.

We should keep the farmers, Many of ya'll under estimate the work done by farmers everyday. They get up early many times before the sun even rises, and are up late in the evening. They spend their every day providing for the country's or their familys needs. They get sweaty, dirty, raise animals, make sure animals are healthy, breed animals, work in the fields, pick the crops, shuck the corn, and so much more its a never ending job, how many city folk do you really think would ever do something like that? And if we got rid of farmers then everybody would have to farm for themselves and most wouldn't. People say Oh it's easy, or we could learn from a book, but a real farmer takes years to learn and gain more knowledge on farming and many learn from trail and error. Sure doctors can save lives, but if its part of Gods plan for them to stay alive then they will do it without a doctor. Doctors want everybody's money, and farmers don't need what they can't get or work to get for themselves. Farmers are decitated and hard working. Besides every farmer I know is more down to earth, as mentioned by Disciple... They are so much more relaxed, and can usually tell some good stories about their past times.
We need food, God can help us with our health problems.
God Bless

Doctors. Farmers and agriculture are a staple to the food industry. Without food, we'd be relegated to hunting & gathering. There aren't enough natural resources for that, unless we started farming... but that's against the "rules".

Well we'll always have a form of doctors and farmers... so it's a hard question to answer.

Keep the farmers! They're more down to earth, and will help you out in your time of need. Doctors just try to make us pay for their over priced educations!

doctors, as stated the nurses could pick up the slack from their absence. people today have become too prideful and spoiled to get off their arses and work a garden, the masses would die in great quantity from starvation, which really might not be that bad after all.

Farmers because you could learn how to farm easier than you could learn how to be a doctor.
