I want somewhere where it snows during the winter so I can snowboard, ect. but I also want it to be hot during the summer. I'm not stupid but I've only ever been to Alaska and California and I'm looking for a neutral between them.

Utah or Colorado come to mind - great skiing and snowboarding - Utah has Olympic class facilities due to the fact they held the 2002 Winter Olympics. And I believe both are quite warm in summer.
