The best way is to change your diet. Trust me on this. Acne is a sign of either too many toxins in your body or hormones out of balance (or both). Drink less soda, more water. Take vitamins (especially B). Omega oils are essential for good skin. I say do some research into what makes skin healthy instead of relying on creams and chemicals for the rest of your life.

Most facial cleansers with saclylic acid work, or benzoyl peroxide work just fine (although I'm allergic to benzol, it seems to work just fine for others), but you have to stay consistent with use. If you wash your face twice daily, you can't skip it for a weekend and expect nothing to go wrong. If you don't really trust the chemicals in those things, try toothpaste for spot treatments or tea tree oil, wash with a mild cleanser, and find a moisturizer that is high in vit A and E. Use a scar reducer like Mederma, or spot treat with a cotton swab and skin bleach, but if you're going to use those get a good sunblock lotion!
And for goodnes sakes, stop popping them! The dirt and oil on your hands makes it worse, the irritation from the popping makes it worse, and once the skin is open the pore is exposed to more dirt and bacteria...which makes it worse. What ever you do don't use rubbing alcohol. It not only dries out your skin which makes it produce more oil, and alcohol kills good cells along with bad.
if you're looking for some more natural cures look up natural beauty books online or at the local library. The key though is to be consistent with whatever you do.

see a dermatologitst. in the mean time, just cleanse your face with a cleanser, than tone, than moisturize
just make sure the cleanser is suitable for your skin type, the toner is alcohol free and the moisturizer is oil-free/non-comedegenic/dermatologist tested. non-comedegenic means won't clog pores. anything oil-free is good for the face. you skin produces enough natural oils, you don't need anymore oils! the moisturizer should contain a spf of atleast 15. if your moisturizer doesn't contain a spf, atleast wear make up w/ a spf. bare minerals make has a spf 15. As far as your zits/pimples go, a dermatologist will know exactly what med. to prescribe you to take care of that. Also, DO NOT pick at your blackhead, whiteheads, zits, and pimples. You will definitley leave a scar if not done the right way. I know it's hard, and you feel tempted, but just leave them alone. Your body will naturally drain the pimple/whitehead all by itself. Don't ever touch your face, so HANDS OFF! There is so much dirt and natural oils on your fingertips...you wouldn't want any of that stuff on your face because than your pore will get clogged. your pores are so tiny, they can get clogged very easily. as far as the daily skincare regime goes, just cleanse, tone, and moisturizer in the morning after waking up and do it again right before going to bed. to control shine throughout the day, just use clean & clear oil blotting sheets. they absorb oil without interrupting your make up.

NATURAL ACNE PROTOCOL
1/ Never, ever touch your face.
2/ Use 3 facecloths to wash your face, one to soap on, one to soap off with very hot water, one to rinse off with ice cold water, in that order, once a day.
3/ If you are under 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A once a day with a full meal
4/ If you are over 18 take 5,000 IU of vitamin A twice a day with a full meal.
Do not get pregnant while taking vitamin A. Do not take any more, like Accutane, it will stop you growing.
5/ Never, ever. pick, squeeze or pop your spot. Read number 1 again.
6/ Do this for 90 days.
7/ Invest in a brand new pillow and 2 new or more pillow cases to double bag' your pillow. HOT wash every couple of days.

A bit of advice given to me as a teenager, a bit of science as I am studying allergic reactions and vitamin A is a part of that. A bit of research: I sat in a lecture at the back and watched the acne prone pick at their faces, those with the worse acne touched their faces 32 times in an hour, the clearest complexions didn't touch their faces even once. I have circumstantial evidence that acne is the result of dermatophyte transfer from hands to face...where it does not get washed off and is well fed by hormones, sweat a
nd oil...just a hypothesis... But it would explain why vitamin A is so effective as vitamin causes skin to remove dermatophytes.

The secret is never to touch the spots

Tips on how to treat acne and achieve perfect clear skin in as little as 7 days?

Your scars are not ever going to go away.
Neutrogena sells a great product called Clear Pore...costs about 7 dollars. Use it every day and your acne will leave and not return. (bout one week) Neutrogena also sells a product called Spot on...it's for acne that is already there, helps clear it up very quickly.
There are products, Neutrogena has one, called pore refining cream, which help to reduce the APPEARENCE of your pores. Smooths out your skin, evens your skin tone and makes the surface nice and refined. That's the best you'll find for the 'scars'.
It's important that you use the exact products, because there are so many availible, but they all do different things. I've had problems with my skin for years, this is what's availible at your local drug store, tried and proven to maintain beautiful skin. Even on someone like myself (I have psoriasis, so it has always been nearly impossible for me to treat my face)! Good luck.

I know you are tempted to pop but don't! Oil of Olay works WONDERS! Buy one of their facial mask creams, and some of their daily use products. In just a few days (2-3) your pimples will look ready to burst, which at this point I would say its okay. But continue using the products daily and your skin will clear up!
Low on cash? : You can use things at home to make your own all natural healthy products.
The best natural skin product is honey!
Facial Mask Recipe - Mix 2 tablespoons of honey, 1 teaspoon of milk and mix with 1 tablespoon of oats (oatmeal)
It really works, try it you'll love it!

I KNOW THIS IS REALLY LONG, PLEASE JUST READ IT ANYWAYS.

I'm 15, and I hardly use anything on my face! My skin is perfectly clean and clear, with a couple pimples here and there once a month.

Every morning, I wash my face with Neutrogena's Acne Free Face Wash. I got it from from Rite Aid for only $4. It works really well, especially for my sensitive skin.

At night, I wash my face with this, it works really well. http://thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/browse/p...
This also comes with a facial scrub http://thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/browse/p...
and also a http://thebodyshop.com/bodyshop/browse/p...
only do all this stuff about twice a week, not every day
Tea tree oil
Has natural purifying antibacterial properties and is known to help soothe blemished skin.

for more about tea tree oil

It's very natural, first of all. It doesn't have lots of chemicals added, no complicated formulas to irritate sensitive skin. It actually absorbs excess, unwanted oil from the skin, and replaces it with nourishing oils that are very essential for maintaining a healthy complexion.

Use some Neutreogena face wash. They have really ones to get rid of problem acne.

Don't use that Morning Burst stuff. The little exfoliator stuff will irritate your skin.

Or get St. Ives apricot scrub. It smells great and really works!

At The Body Shop, they have this face wash called Tea Tree Oil. It's especially for soaking up excess oil on your face.

Don't use any of these face washes more than 1-2 times a day.

If you need it gone at once, heat up an iron, yes, the ones you press your clothes with. Then take a soft, cotton cloth. Heat it up really hot. Then gently press it against the zit. Yes, it will get worse before it gets better. It will swell up to it's regular size. But then, in about an hour or two, I promise it will be gone! Be careful, don't burn yourself!

Meanwhile, drink lots of water, and continue washing your face with water many times a day.

Go easy on the junk food.

Drink plenty of water and lots of vegetables!

well, you could use a face masque or a peel once a week. and use something called apricot scrub for your oily skin. it also helps with acne and smells great.

and also, drink lots of water, and eat a healthy diet. its good for your skin, nails, and hair. not to mention your weight...

Maybelline is a good brand for makeup. If your pimples are really bothering you a lot, use a little foundation (preferrably from BareEscentuals). You can also find a lot of good quality makeup in Sephora. Try using natural, oil free make up so that your face won't become even more oily.

use and oil free makeup, just about any brand should have and 'oil free' version of the same product. i like cover girl products myself

neutragena products worked better than differen for me, and it was cheaper and more convenient for me to buy (any local drug store)

Skin:
- Use a light mosturizer with maybe SPF 15 every day to keep your face from drying out, an over-dried face will cause to an increase for oil, which can lead to break-outs.
- Maybe once every two weeks grab some baby oil and milk. While showering, pause, and grab some baby oil put it all over your body, and rub in good, for a few minutes, then grab about a pint of milk, and pour it all over, and rub it in with the baby oil good as well for about 5 minutes. Then turn the shower back on and rub off, scrub. This will make your skin softer, but make sure you rinse good cause you'll feel kind of sticky afterwards if you dont.
- Retinol cream found in ageing products is suppossed to help prevent breakouts and firm your skin, so steal some of your moms. (my mom has these plain retinol capulets that i mix in with this mask i use for my face once in awhile that i got in korea)
- Take tips from magazines, it helps, and do the masks, they are good for your skin, and fun!

My biggest beauty secret is that I scrub my face every few days with plain white sugar mixed with a little water. It helps get rid of my nasty blackheads and leaves my skin so smooth. The frequent exfoliation seems to help with my oily t-zone as well. I am also on Differin and the sugar scrub gets rid of the dry skin Differin causes.

Never use Sun-In.
Don't use a moisturizer too often if you have oily skin-- it will just make you break out.
Easy on the sunscreen. Definitely need to use it, but make sure you get the dry-touch, not oily kind. Even helps to use a matte powder with SPF in it.
Use chap-stick.
Always take a shower/wash your face after you sweat a lot.
Wash your face iwth warm water and just a drugstore face wash (Biore Ice Cleanser works well), then pat dry at least once day, if not twice.
Try to avoid the Sun if at all possible.
Always wash off your mascara.
Use brown mascara if you have lighter lashes.
Don't ever overpluck your brows. If you do, use an eye pencil to lightly fill them in.
Don't pick at pimples.
Don't use a conditioner if you have finer hair.
Don't use a straightener too often. And keep the heat low.
If you want the back of your hair at the scalp to poof up a little more, spray a little hair spray back there beefore blowdrying.
Don't overdo it on the eyeshadow, or blush or brozer, for that matter. Less is always more when it comes to make-up------you want it to look natural, not like you are wearing make-up.
Try out Crest White Strips.

These are all just little things that I have found over the years. Hope they help. They truly come from experience. Best of luck.
