Black is an acceptable color to wear to a wedding these days. Sticking to a cocktail length would make the look less severe, and perhaps pairing with more fun summer time accessories would also work.

Choice of fabric also makes a difference, a light chiffon or eyelet fabric would be a better choice than a heavy or warmer knit. Avoid heavily embellished fabric unless this is an ultra formal event.

Good luck and I'm sure you'll look great!

Black is an extremely effortless shade for woman and adult men to positioned directly to a night wedding ceremony. certainly everyone thinks that is depressing, yet black says "formal." no count what the form. I in simple terms had my wedding ceremony in June on the sea coast, interior the night, and that i could say a minimum of 25% - 35% of the ladies wore black. believe me, that is suited.

I would go for it but pair a bright festive color to accessorize the dress/outfit. Something bright and festive, like yellow, pink, or red. Your shoes, jewelry, and any other ensemble/accessories should match! If not, I would suggest saving the black, for the reception.

No! August still falls under the SUMMER category. And especially while there's still light out, you should wear some lighter, funner, colors.

Try pink, white, or green.

It's too hot for black in August. Black is for funerals anyways.

i proably would not wear black, but then again there is nothing bad about it. If you are going for a dark color i would suggest a dark blue or purple. nothing to sparkly or anything like that. If you put colorful jewlry and shoes black would be a fine color to wear. hope this helps.

It depends on the style of the dress, but I would try to find a brighter color like a light purple, yellow or pink.

As long as you don't wear white, you can wear any color to a wedding these days. You can always brighten it up with colorful accessories- jewelry, shoes, scarf, purse. Have fun!
