I don't know why I bothered answering this as I am British and some may not no w-t-h-f I am talking about!

Bagpuss.
Emily used to bring things into the old shop full of old things, and the creatures came to life and fixed the broken item that Emily brought along.

Bag puss, o Bag puss, old fat furry cat puss, wake up and look at this thing that I bring.
Wake up be bright be golden and light, oh Bag puss hear what they sing.
And when Bag puss wakes up, all his friends wake up too.
The Mice on the mouse organ (weeeeeeee, in squeaky voice) Gabriel the toad (toad noise) and Professor Yaffle (he was a carved wooden book end in the shape of a wood pecker, yaff, yaff, yaff, yaff, yaff yaff)

This sounds so silly now, but it was sweet at the time I was very young.

There were some others you may not have heard of any of them before;
Trumpton, Camberwick green, Fingerbobs and Mr Ben were also marvellous!

I really liked Bill Nye the Science Guy...a lot. I also remember this show with Bill Cosby that was for kids...and I can't remember the name for it.

To the Tyler in the red jacket......

Hey you
Don't watch that watch this
this is the heavy heavy monster sound
the nuttiest sound around
so if you've come in the off the street
and you're beginningto feel the heat
well listen buster you better start to move your feet
to the rockinest rock steady beat of madness
ONE STEP BEYOND!!!
one step beyond repeated.

You unlock this door with the key of imagination. Beyond it is another dimension - a dimension of sound, a dimension of sight, a dimension of mind. You're moving into a land of both shadow and substance, of things and ideas. You've just crossed over into the Twilight Zone.
