They don't drive thoughtlessly. It's just that they get a certificate with a free mile of road with every car. That mile extends in front of the front bumper and moves with the car; everyone else must be privileged to use it.
Alternatively, it could just be because 90% of BMWs are bought by people who are naturally agressive. They would probably tell you that they're dynamic go-getters. (aka selfish bloody minded gits).

Not all of them drive like that, just the majority. The reason the majority does is because they see themselves as priority drivers and that they should have special treatment on the road. They do need to learn that while they can buy most anything that they want, they can't change laws or road rules and that there are not different rules for Luxury German Made cars.

Hi Helen. The answer is quite simple. They drive like Ars***es because they are Ars***es. They want to give the impression to the world that they are dynamic, thrusting, "happening now" types. I am no psychologist, but I am sure there is a PHD in there somewhere for a research project. Most of the "Bimmer" drivers I know are estate agents, financial advisers, media types (whatever that means) or salespersons of one type or another. An over simplified view might be to compare penis size with mentality.

I was behind one today, he darted from lane to lane slamming on his brakes as he cut in each time, if his indicators worked he didn't use them, revving at the red lights, right idiot.
Then again, I was behind him in my BMW, not speeding, not cutting people up, indicating when necessary and feeling the need to be slightly more generous than other drivers to make up for the rest of 'my' lot!

Absolutely no idea. But you're not being mean, loads of people have asked this (me included), so there's definitely something going on.
The question is, do only w*nkers buy beemers, or do decent people buy them and then the car turns them INTO w*nkers?
