Until recently I lived in a small town of about 2,500 population. The best definition was given by an elderly lady resident:- 'God made the country, man made the towns but the Devil made the small towns'

I don't think so much in population as I do in atmosphere...

My town isn't a big town by any means, we had only one stoplight until a couple years ago.

Until WalMart came by and set up camp, we only had Mom-n-Pop stores here.

We've grown now but not into a "city" so I think we are still a small town. I think we are about 20,000 strong but much of the people farm or work in other areas. (We have 101 lakes around so our area is swamped in the Summer but dead in the Winter.)

g-day!
