Tropicana is going to be going through major remodeling and they are offering really low prices for the strip. Excalibur is newer and yes there are some kids there but really not a problem. Both hotels offer great location for starting each day. To save money .. the Tropicana .. for better rooms .. Excalibur. With the Excalibur you have three resorts connected so you have limited outside exposure if the weather is too hot.

I was just in the Tropicana over the weekend to see the "Titanic" exhibit, and I was surprised at how dingy and old it was inside. It really does need some updating. The Excalibur was not bad inside, and is just across the Strip from the Trop, and attached via walkway to the Trop and New York New York. I saw that Excalibur has added a "Dick's Last Resort" restaurant, which is always a bit of fun. I would say stay at Excalibur if you are in the least bit picky, and the Tropicana if you are only going to sleep there and spend most of your time somewhere else! Personally, I'd stay at Paris next time I visit Las Vegas.

I think that the Excalibur is the best value for the money. I stay there almost every time I go to Vegas and I haven't been disappointed yet. The rooms are good, basic hotel rooms and the casino's staff is pleasant and the location is great (but so is the Tropicana's). There are kids at the Excalibur but I notice tons of kids everywhere in Vegas.

Tropicana is now fifty two years previous, on an analogous time as Excalibur is approximately 19 years previous. The Trop went via a financial disaster final twelve months, and intensely almost each and all of the exhibits have left for different hotels. Vegas is averaging 29 thousand empty rooms midweek interior the twelve months 2009, with approximately 40 5 thousand empty rooms this previous January, it rather is extra lodge rooms than some cities even have, approximately 7500 new rooms unfolded in 2008, and yet another 10,000 are due back open by utilising next twelve months. i think of a few human beings desire the 50 twelve months previous hotels could only close down. ------------ you ought to be waiting to do extra advantageous than Excaliber for little or no funds.

the newly decorated "flat screen" rooms are nice at the Excalibur and I generally like the casino and bars, but there are kids in the hotel. Tropicana is nice too and old and tired, the back towers are a long long way away, mostly older folks. If you want value and location, stay at the Imperial Palace....I love a balcony room and its in the middle of everything and I usually win there, but it's old and kinda dark...just the way I like it remember, you get what you pay for

I would go with the Exalibur unless you want to hang at the pool, then I would go for Tropicana.

The Excalibur is ON the strip, the Tropicana is near it, but there is more walking involved, when you will do a ton of it already.

The Excalibur is new but is more oriented towards kids and have a large arcade area. They have a great buffet.

The Tropicana is a great bargain because its one of the older hotels on the strip. They have a great pool. Pietro's restaurant in one of the finest restaurants you can eat at.
