I just got a new pair of white nikes and i wanna keep them clean..Once i used nail polish remover and it cleaned the dirt of the tip of my converse's. So I was thinking when my nikes get dirty to just use the remover...but im not sure if thats good for the shoe lol. So if you have any home remedies to keep sneakers clean..please share =]. Thanks in advance!

Get a can of scotchguard and give your shoes a good spray and let them dry.. Follow the instructions.. When they get dirty the dirt will just wipe right off.. Good luck

I dont know much about shoe cleaners but I did work at a shoe store once and I strongly advise against using anything abrasive like nail polish remover or bleach as they will turn the white yellow. The nail polish remover is very strong and could actually remove the white all together, and soften the rubber of the shoe. Typically you can buy white shoe cleaner at any shoe store or drug store. I advise Payless because they have cheap cleaners and they work. Good Luck

This may sound a little weird but actually toothpaste works really well. Just put a bit of WHITE toothpaste on where it's dirty and then just since it off with some water this really works i do it all the time.

If they are leather, a little baking soda and water will take off most dirt without damage. If they are canvass, spray them with a little scotchguard and it keeps them cleaner longer by resisting dirt in the first place.

Try Mr. Clean Magic Erasers! They really are magic. I use them on everything. Also I worked at a jewelry store and we used them on our white leather displays. They would get black from the jewelry and the pad would take it right off! They are great!
