I have about $2,500 that I am looking to put into a high interest savings account. In addition to the base amount I am also looking at putting around $800 a month in the account. I am looking to earn the most amount if interest possible bc I am trying to save up for an upcoming move overseas. I have around 8 months or so to save. Anyone have any suggestions? Thank you so much!!

High yield online savings accounts like HSBC online offers 5.05%. There is no minimum and you can add to or withdraw from it whenever you want to. Or, you can try ING Direct, Emigrant Direct, Countrywide Bank fsb, GMAC Bank fsb.

Don't do a CD because your money is locked up for a certain period and most times you won't be able to add to it (except WaMu has a CD where you can keep contributing)

Check www.bankrate.com for the current rates, click on the CDs and investments.
