I mean, come on... nobody is asking real quesions here anymore... every question is loaded, and for that matter really insultingly stupid... here's a few very recient examples of questions being asked:

-Do Y/A neoconservatives really believe we are spreading DEMOCRACY??

-How many douches per square mile in the South?

-Why is my neighbor who is a Republican and church deacon always inviting kids over for nature pictures?

-Are Guliani and Romney redneck enough?

Come on, what happened to real questions, or at the very least, real political debates, on real issues... this entire forum is becoming about as devoid of intelligent thought as is the surface of Mars, and as mature as a school-yard full of 3rd graders! Lately here you could call the president a Poopy-head and suprisingly you would NOT be the least intelligent sounding questioner here! Shouldn't we be striving for a higher standard?

No, I'm not talking about your questions... I'm refering to the the questions lately that are actually just insults against political figures... such as the ones I mentioned above... your questions are at least thought provoking... some of these questions however, cannot even be given the time to give an answer... such as the "Are Guliani and Romney redneck enough?" question... this question is nothing more than an insult, not so cleaverly disguised as a question...

Vidal Sasson -

Right, I'm sure these questions need to be asked... espically the one "Why is my neighbor who is a Republican and church deacon always inviting kids over for nature pictures?"... of course, implying that Republicans are child molesters is something that just had to be done, right?

You Are Twisted -

Agreed, I didn't mean to imply that "conservatives", or "republicans" were not asking stupid questions too... yes, I did pick questions with a "liberal" slant, but that's because it was convienent, as they had just been asked reciently... all political philosophies are represented in the stupid question phenomenon...

I've noticed that many thought provoking questions get 5 answers...but the idiotic ones will get 30 answers and a bunch of stars......I've just come to the conclusion that we can't take this forum very seriously....its fun...I love to debate and even duke it out once in a while so to speak....but I don't take any of this very seriously

Ahhhh , I love your post . It reminds me of a few that I have done too .
There is a noticeable absence of quality users in the past couple of months . It could be attributed to various factors. . . vacations , summer events , or for the very reason you've stated . My group of friends have mostly reclined to the 360 world , but when recently asked about continued or future participation most said they'll be back in September .

Now that we've complained , let's also do something about it . I'll go first . . . .. I will ask an intelligent question within the next 5 or 10 minutes .
Will You Do The Same ?

How bout you guys and gals reading this ?

they do not know the right questions to ask. they are no looking for solutions, only bashing and berating. i scan 15-20 questions to even find a reasonable question and then 80% of the answerers spew hateful bigotry. this is getting really close to dailykos as far as the hate exhibited for each others party or solutions.poopy-head(sarcasm)

While I agree that there is an obvious preponderance of ignorance being displayed in this category, I do not think it is limited to any specific ideology as your examples would suggest. it seems that the sole purpose of many posts is to use this site as a soapbox to vent innuendo and rhetoric filled diatribes, and launch baseless attacks on the so called opposition.

***EDIT***

Thanks for the clarification.

Junior High School doesn't start again for a few more weeks I guess.
Then they will be busy with School, not doing homework and going to football games.

Hello,

It is just a modern version of bread and circuses for the mob who need to be entertained.

Sometimes I find that thoughtful, neutral questions get few answers, while inflammatory partisan diatribes get the most responses by far.

Maybe that's why.

Yahoo is promoting it's political platform by eagerly allowing dumb-down questions by their favored party.

Any less effort would be a lame attempt at being fair to those who generally are less equipped in providing purposeful sustenance.

It could be a venting process by both sides or lack of new questions.
