I am almost 8 weeks and I have the same problem. I get nervous so I just sleep on my side.
My doctor never mentioned that it was bad, so I would suggest sleeping whichever way makes you cozy!
good luck*

Chances are it's just bothering you. The baby is still way in there and not really affected yet. I am having the same problem. I am a stomach sleeper but it's not comfortable anymore so I move over to my side then my side starts to hurt so I change sides. One good night of sleep would be great wouldn't it?

I am 24 weeks along and still sometimes find myself on my stomach, not for long though, before I will flip over. Alot of people recommend those pregnancy pillows but at $50.00+ I think it is a waste of money. The pain you are experiencing is your body telling you to move. Remember that your baby is encased in liquid.

I am 7 weeks along with my 2nd pregnancy and have been told by 2 doctors that you can sleep on your belly or back until until 16 weeks, but then you should try to sleep on your side, preferable your left side, as it provides the best blood flow to the baby.

You need to start sleeping on your left side. Your stomach is hurting because your baby is feeling uncomfortable as if someone is cutting out the circulation on him.

Try sleeping on your side with a big pillow pressed against your chest and kind of hug it. I sleep on my stomach too and it hurts my back. Sometimes the pillow trick helps me out to sleep on my side more comfortably.

As soon as I found out I was preggers, I stopped sleeping on my stomach. I couldn't shake the feeling that I was smooshing my baby! The doc/midwife said that it's okay until the first trimester is over, but I don't buy that.

I liked sleeping on my stomach too. My doctor said that it was fine, as long as I could comfortably do it. I found if I put a pillow above my tummy and one below (around my hip area), it made sleeping on my stomach much more comfortable.

I used to sleep on my belly when I was pregnant. I don't know for sure if it's harmful, but I would do it in my sleep. I would go to sleep on my side and wake up on my stomach and I would be hurting so bad. I don't think it is harmful til you get bigger, but it can be painful after awhile.
