Well I'm sure they are 512 MB's not 500 but anyway.. Turn off your computer, Unplug the power cord, and remove the side panel. Find the open memory slots. Basically DDR 400 (PC3200) has 1 notch in it and there is a long side and a short side. Line the notch up with the RAM slot with the tabs on each end of the slot pushed out. Then insert the ram carefully double checking and making sure you line the notch up and the ends go into the slot. Then push down on it from the top on both ends at once you need to use some force but don't just slam it into it. Pushing in both ends at once assures proper allignment and keeps all the little wires in place in the slot. Good Luck HTH.

First of all make sure you're grounded, if not then simply discharge the static in your body by touching the case prior to touching the chip. When handling the chip do not touch the silicon chips or the gold contact leads, hold it by the edges!

Removing the old memory requires unlocking the memory by simply rocking the 2 locks away from the memory chip, you'll feel them sort of snap open and the memory chip may pop up a bit.

Then just grab the chip by it's edges and pull it straight up and remove it. Installing the new chips is just as easy, they can only go in one way due to an alignment notch on the memory chip and in the slot on the motherboard.

When you're inserting the new chips hold them by their edges, carefully align them in the slot with the alignment notch, then push down gently until you feel the memory seat. Next squeeze the locks in towards the memory chip to lock it in place.

That's all there is to it, reboot and chekc your new memory in the bios or simply wait till you get to the desktop and check system properties.

turn off the computer. unplug the A/C line cord from the wall.

Take the cover off the pc. Find the memory slots. Assuming the slots are empty, push the little clip things away from each other. Carefully push your memory sticks in until the two little clip things pop up and can be snapped over the top of the memory card.

Put it all back together and boot it up.

Open the case with the power turned off.
Remove the old RAM chips by pressing the tabs on the ends of the chips.
Insert the new chips and press firmly till both tabs make a click sound.
Replace case and turn on the power.

Should be good to go.

its actually pretty easy.

1. unplug pc from wall. open your case. then before putting your hand inside the case touch the case or something metal.

2. find your ram and on the sides you'll see 2 hooks holding the ram in. click these away from the ram. to the side.

3.take out old ram. place new ram in. make sure you are putting it in the right way. (pay attn. to how they were put in when you take them out at first so you'll know how to correctly put them in)

4.place the ram in the slot and then press down on one end until it makes a SNAP sound. it will click. then do the other side and so on.

hope this helps. dont forget to touch your case.

well if you bought memory that fits to your motherboard you wont have problems
Just see how is installed your first memory and you will know how to do it, but anyway read this below.

Installation:
1. on motherboard if you have filled all fields for memory then pullout one
2. insert in memory field (you cannot mistake with sides because ram have little whole in the middle, just don't push hard to avoid breaking of motherboard or memory)
3. when you hear "click" on both sides that means you have installed memory

NOTE: Memory must stay in its position, other way you can damage your ram...

I am not sure of what kind of computer you are having you should have been more specific. If you have a laptop this is the typical way of installing a ram.

If you are having a desktop just open the hood of CPU and u will find RAM in there just unlatch one of the RAM and place you new ram in the same way. As a word of caution while installing RAM please do not use any tools. Just use your hand for the safety of your computer.
