Tell her to get RID. the shampoo will kill the lice, and the nits. THEN comes the really hard part - she will have to get someone to go through her hair almost strand by strand and pull the nits out. they are loosened by the shampoo and can be grabbed and slid down the length of the shaft and off. it is a long and hard process. It needs someone with a gentle and loving touch and someone who understands.

Quickly gather all your clothing and sheets and anything which may have come into close proximity and wash it well. (Stuffed critters will need to be packed in plastic bags for 2-3 weeks.) Vacume the room, couches and beds thoroughly.

My daughter had them 9 times in 6 months. There is no blame to lay, it's not like you can do somethign wrong to get them. They just happen.

Kill the lice, remove the nits.
--------------Edits to add:

Lice do not jump. They crawl from place to place and the wind has been known to blow them from one person to another in close proximity. Schools are notorious for having too few coat hooks and when coats and hats are in close proximity, the bugs will wander willy nilly onto others nearby.

Vinegar will only kill the live lice and then not all of them. You need to kill ALL the lice, AND the eggs (the nits are the eggs) And then remove them.

Mayo is an old wives tale. It won't work.

Abraham's intercessory prayer was one thing that made him a friend of God, and also the way he walked by faith believing no matter what. He left Ur of the Chaldees and went to where he did not know because God told him to leave. It was no easy task with all he was taking with him, and the dangers around. He believed God about Sarah who would give birth too. But, it was Sarah who told him to get a son from a concubine against God's will which became the unruly donkeys. After Sarah died, Abraham remarried and had many children by another wife. David was a man after God's own heart because he would do all of God's will. Certainly his glorious praise was an example of how much he loved God, and God gave him much joy in all the victories he had such as with Goliath and many other victories.

Make her tell her parents because lice jump and if anyone has been useing the same hairbrush as her they could have it or even being close to her - which means she may have gotten it from or given it to her parents and siblings. If you go to a drug store they sell kits to get rid of it the best one to get is RID but they sell off brand stuff that works the same and tell her to disenfect all clothes by putting them in the was and the hairbrushes and ponytails or to just buy new ones if they werent to expensive - my 4 year old cousin got it a day care and thats what they did before taking her to the doctor and the doctor said that she diddnt really have to go to him.

why doesnt she want her parents to know?
they're the ones that can help her get rid of it.
if she really doesnt want them to know, she needs to go to a drugstore and buy special shampoo and conditioner that will help get rid of lice.

she can put mayonaise on her head. but she really needs to tell her parents and get some special shampoos and stuff to kill the eggs. just stay away from her and her hats, coats, and clothes until you know for sure that her lice are gone.

Why is she afraid of her parents knowing? It's not exactly an STD.
