A "Processor" is a thing that does something. In the case of a PC, the "Processor" is the part that takes data, calculates and performs results. In a factory, a processor can be a machine that takes raw materials in one end and spits a finished product out at the other. A human is also a "Processor". We can take information and come up with results, we can also take raw materials and turn them into finished products. Basically, if you look at any process, it has a beginning and an end. The parts between the beginning and the end are the processes. Anything that controls the period between the beginning and the end (the process) is a "processor". Advantages - processes are being controlled
Disadvantage - if a processor gets tired it / he / she is likely to screw up.
