Idealistically, (fancifully!) if we could/would start with SELF instead of wishing all would have more or less of what we perceive subjectively; rather than on a grand, & admirable scale of a better world...
More of valuing what we have, sincerely & actively caring about others, sharing our laughs & smiles with everyone, (this has a beautiful chain reaction in stores & on the street).
Less bemoaning what we "want," indifference, doom & gloom.
Something like tending your garden. Plant, & nurture it, you'll enjoy its beauty. So will others, & may be more likely to care for theirs. Your "seeds" may brighten the whole street.
More time contributing where we can, less time reflecting on negatives. What a fantasy! If EVERYONE tended their garden, what a beautiful world it could be.

sarahisafurbie>Less unnecessary criticism about CAPS
mighiganiang>Less mean-spirited name calling
kamie>Less politics in philosophy ( the best way to love & support our troops is to bring them back alive)

I really think the world is turning to the bad side, so I guess..

1) Less hate and meanness and more love!!

2) Less teasing in school and other places. Who wants people getting hurt and their self confidence lowered?

3) Less wars and more peace!! If only soldiers would stop dying and devastating their loved ones.

4) Less hours in school and more lunchtime, I'm ashamed to say. Lolz. But also more education. We can't have dumb people running around the place, can we?

5) Less frowning and more smiling :)

6) Less crying and more laughing!! :D

7) Less global warming. That's all I want to say. Here in California it's really hot. Unfortunately.

LAST but not LEAST...

8) Less people on Yahoo Answers that mess up the site by asking those questions they already know the answers to and are just putting them up to annoy us, and more people like you, kimberly, who ask questions that make sense

Less selfishness and more selflessness. In my view we are a selfish and self centered society. We spend money on things we do not need or want for longer a few days. When we get done accumulating all the junk we do not need we pay money to store it until we die. CEOs making millions are going to jail for stealing a fraction of what they make. Most give for selfish reasons and not because they really want to. Everyday children are staving and it is not a priority to most people; however, when a major natural disaster occurs many take the opportunity to meet their giving quota by deducting a few dollars from their credit card.

Personally, I think I need more ambition as do most of my family.
We need more dreams that can come true.
Like I dream of being a downhill skier in the olympics and there is no way that would ever come true. For one thing, my knees would never take it and I would look terrible in one of those skin tight suits.
Everyone needs more compassion. Need to really care about others.
That would solve a lot of problems in the world today.
We need less video/computer games, TV, especially the sex and swearing.
There can be good shows and games without it.
We need more purity in our body, mind and souls.

Hi Friendly Kim:+)

What we most definitely need a lot more of are FRIENDLY SMILES! Have you ever noticed that if you walk into an office/a restaurant / meeting - wherever! - most of the time everyone else sits there with these bland, expressionless, unsmiling faces. Next time you do, walk in there with the widest, most flashing grin that you can muster - and watch the reactions! You'll be amazed!!! Just smile - without saying anything, nor laughing, or anythings else - just a nice, warm, broad smile . . . pretty soon most everyone else is smiling at you - and more importantly with you. What we do need a helluva lot less of is war, famine, disease and poverty . . . too many negative vibes, Man!
May YOUR day/night be filled with smiles!!!

More happiness and less loneliness. In happiness there is always a cheerful life. The reasons why we live on this world. We live to be happy and not sad. What life will you have if only to live in sadness. There will be more liberty in life if you have the positive thoughts in life. That you will have a happy moments in life. If you have the absence of which and you are unhappy you are unfit to live on this wonderful earth.

I think we need to have more people supposrting our leaders and troops. When people say they support the USA but they dont support the president I think thats contrdicting. Its like saying Im cathicl but I dont belive the pope is of God.. and by not supporting your leader you give the terrisot what the want a weak nations whos goverment is crumbling in of its self.. Also our troops love what they do. No they dont want to die but they know that its asked of them and they take it with pride. They need all the love and support from us and they can get..
Last we need less angry people. Just take a chill pill. Im not saying you need to be all happy all the time but you dont have to be that angry all the time.

We need more serenity and less negativity.

When people are peaceful and happy/harmonious with themselves, they are more compassionate and able to love others more. This reflects positively on all aspects of their lives. When they are mentally or physically negative, it transfers into every level of their lives, and affects all whom they come in contact with negatively. Don't worry. Be happy!

More open space; fewer people. More thought; fewer pre-conceptions. More awareness; less distractions. More reflection; less dogma. More creativity; less corporatization. More recreation; less "entertainment". More communication; less yak. More information; less advertising. More leadership; less manipulation. More community; less commuting. More wonder; less piety. More satisfaction; less consumerism. More discussion, less propaganda. More questions; fewer assumptions. That would be enough to go on with, perhaps!
