I am being induced next week and I was wondering if I need a gurdle, my mom told me that I need at least two so that I wear it when I get out of the hospital. She said it helps to keep the tummy in place and she also said that it makes you feel more comfortable. I was wondering what you ladies say or think about gurdles??

No. I was induced and didn't use a girdle. I really don't think you need one or want to even put one on after giving birth. You may want to check with your OB on this one. And Congratulations!

I never wore a girdle. After you have the baby, your stomach will be pretty flabby. If you are worried about it, I guess you could wear one, but you don't need to. I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing one, but I guess my stomach being flabby didn't really bother me that much.

I wore one on my wedding day. I was 15 weeks and trying to hide my pooch. No, I wouldn't wear one after wards though, I wanted to be as comfy as possible at that time!!!
