No, Becks was a GOOD player in his prime. Not a great, best player ever-type, just good. He's extremely overrated because of how hot he is (and he really is). I still don't care about soccer, and this is in the wrong category.

No, Beckham has already proven himself to be a good player in the past, he's just happened to hurt himself before his first season. Once he's recuperated he should be able to perform just fine.
Leaf, on the other hand, was all hype. He's had one good preseason game his entire career and caused the Chargers an endless amount of problems with his attitude and laziness. I doubt there will ever be a bigger dud that went as the number 2 overall pick in the NFL draft than Ryan Leaf.

Beckham is way way overrated. He is the male version of Anna Kornakova (spelling?). People like him because he's pretty. Everyone rides his jock, but he's not even one of the best 100 players in the world. That being said, however, nobody will ever be a bigger bust than Ryan Leaf. What a joke.

Beckham was good in his prime but he doesn't play with the same passion or drive anymore. He has it all and doesn't really care about his team now. He came to the U.S. for the money not to play soccer. He won't help LA much.

No, it's not like he hasn't already played a long time in Europe. He is not a rookie or anything, he has already proved himself in Europe. He is at the tail end of his career, thats why he came to the U.S., and he's sprained his ankle.
