You normally have to give 30 days notice, so you'll have to pay the rent tomorrow no matter what.
Give notice today and pay the rent tomorrow. Move in one month. That's about your only real option. This assumes that your lease is expired of course and you're under a month-to-month agreement now.

Before moving out of any place it is customary to give a thirty day notice, which means you'll still owe the last months rent. If you don't do this, your landlord can legally come after you for that final months rent, even if you move tomorrow. By giving a thirty day notice, you will ensure that you will be able to use your landlord as a reference for prospective landlords in the future. My advice is to pay your rent tomorrow and include a note stating that you wish to terminate the rental agreement and will be vacating the property on Sept. 15, 2007. If you don't have the money, do whatever neccessary to get the money, borrow it from family or friends, take a loan out at the bank, ect. Good Luck!

Do you have to submit a 30 day notice for your lease? Even if the Lease has expired and you're just on month to month, you often have to supply notice.
How much notice you have to give is typically mandated by the state or county or the expired lease.
IF you have to supply 30 days, you're sol at this time.
You could let it go to a non-pay and be evicted, but that will plague you for quite a while.

If the rent is due tomorrow and you are still there anytime after midnight tonight you will owe a prorated amount for any time past that you are there. Better get packing! Also if you are breaking a lease you could loose your deposit or face a fee for breaking it. It's usually not worth it!
