I am looking at buying a motorola L6 on T mobile from carphone warehouse. I then want to use a sim pack offer on virgin in it . How do i go about unlocking it does anybody know any codes or how to do it for free? Thanks.

My advice would be, don't buy a phone on T mobile if you just want to unlock it . The reason for this is T mobile lock there phones on to there network for longer than anyone else. I bought an MY501c Sagem, I've try ed every where to get it unlocked, same answer from them all . They can't get the software. so my advice is buy a phone on the network you want to use it on. seems to me all network operators are going to be doing the same before long (they can't subsidize the price of phones if every one buys the cheepest and then unlocks it to use on another network. that would be economic suicide)

call the cell phone provider and see if this is possible
do it for another phone if they need to check serial nubers and things
