You already have custody. If you want him to sign away his parental rights - talk to an attorney to start the paperwork.

The mother automatically has full sole custody when a child is born out of wedlock. Good luck dear! Get the custody! I'm going through a similar but not quite similar situation!

You don't have to go for custody, the only way that man has any right to the child is if you allow him to sign the recognition of parentage, and all that that paper allows is for him to pay child support. If he wanted rights to even visit the child, and you don't want him to,, you don't have to let him, he would have to file in family court, be extradited the father, which he would then have to pay for a paternity test, which are very expensive, and proceed with court, to just set up visitation. They more then likely would not give him full custody, maybe partial but they are not going to take a child away from it's mother.

You are the mother, you have custody. You're the one giving birth. Now after the baby is born, he could take you to court to gain custody. You could have him sign away his parental rights before the baby is born.

You have custody of the baby right now. The father is not married to you and will have a hard time asserting any rights. Since you got pregnant when you were under age 18, he is technically guilty of statutory rape.
If he won custody, he would maybe end up in jail, so he could not have custody.

He can ask for visiting rights, but you have custody. So, don't worry about that.
