No one seems to be actually answering the question but instead talking about Hilary and Obama or the tired ol' Repub/Democrat fight. I didn't think that was your question.

Personally I think we are going to have the 1st black president long before a white. However I think first it has to be a VP, running with the norm (White protestant male).

The hispanic population is growing faster than the black population, and statistics say more women vote than blacks. However--i think more of the older white male population still think of women as not being capable of holding any type of job, still call their secretaries honey or babydoll, and the basic male role is still to protect a woman. Whereas the black community has had a lot more years of being able to vote, a lot more years of being in leadership roles.

So a black man before a female, but the country just isn't ready for either yet. Hard to say but we just aren't open and accepting of either yet. The youth of the country just doesn't vote in the numbers that the baby boomers do. Hopefully in 2020 we will be ready for that type of social advancement.

If we are lucky, and smart.
We will have Barack Obama for Prez.
Who cares what race he is.

We didn't fight for independence from England because people were READY.
We didn't end slavery because people were READY.
We didn't have a civil rights movement because people were READY.
In every day life, we do things all the time we aren't ever really ready for (like having kids, like caring for elderly relatives) --- and guess what. WE JUST STEP UP.

Because sometimes it's what's called for. And sometimes, it's even the right thing to do.

Barack Obama is the only candidate worthy of the Office of the President.

Neither because Hiliry is a flat out bs saying liar. And obama will not get elected because whites are flat out rasist.

The next president will be Guliaini although i prefer MCcain because he has the old 1776- 1940 presendential side where he makes the decisions based on what he thinks is best for the country instead of bush and hiliry who do the best for their party.
Hiliry goes to the daily kos convention even if people wrote hate speech to her.

Obama was the only democrat not to go to the convention and i respect him for that. He seems like an honast noble man but he will not win.

Guliani will be the next president of America and i do believe he will do a great job if he does what he says he will do.

As neat as which would be, I won't vote for awful applicants with undesirable ideals just to set a checklist. whilst a candidate runs for place of work helping decrease taxes, smaller government, greater freedom and civil liberties, and greater adherence to the form, i'm going to vote for him/her/it in spite of what race/intercourse/orientation/etc. he/she/it incredibly is. staggering now, that person is Ron Paul. on an identical time because it could be spectacular to work out a distinctive demographic interior the White homestead, I won't sacrifice the country and quit unilateral ability to a minimum of one political occasion to do it.

I totaly agree with the person that ask the question, Amereica has grown tired of the republicans and their constant lies. A Democrat will be elected in 08. The deciding factor will be how many of the racist and/or sexist bigots out there realize that it is election day.
