Is Al Gore aware that 'Global Warming' has been tried before?

D.C. resident John Lockwood was conducting research at the Library of Congress and came across an intriguing Page 2 headline in the Nov. 2, 1922 edition of The Washington Post: "Arctic Ocean Getting Warm; Seals Vanish and Icebergs Melt."

The 1922 article, obtained by Inside the Beltway, goes on to mention "great masses of ice have now been replaced by moraines of earth and stones," and "at many points well-known glaciers have entirely disappeared."

This was one of several such articles I have found at the Library of Congress for the 1920s and 1930s," says Mr. Lockwood. "I had read of the just-released NASA estimates, that four of the 10 hottest years in the U.S. were actually in the 1930s, with 1934 the hottest of all."

Imagine that! Hmmmm This is the way I see it. The Democrats/Liberals/Socialists want you to believe that we are destroying the earth for many reasons. First, the fear alone gives them the upper hand in passing legislation to further take away our rights. Because they tell you that this legislation will save the earth and our future generations. Second, they can now further control the automotive industry, the oil industry, and the farming industry as they choose, all under the guise of saving the planet. Think about what a massive money maker those three industries combined are. Once they have control of those industries, the rest just falls into place. They want to control the tobacco industry by giving control to the FDA. They pass these bans as money makers for individual states and the health insurance companies who funds most of these liberals. They all think that the general public is way too stupid to figure out what they are doing. They have also taken over the educational system so that they can "educate" the children of this country the way they want and they took the power away from the parents to prevent their intervention.
Look at what they are starting to do with the bottled water industry which is a multi billion industry. They want a piece of that pie too, so they are getting cities like Chicago to enact a 25 cent tax on each individual bottle to clean up the enviroment. Think of the money they will make alone on that! Where do you think all of that money is really going to go?
They are slowly breaking the will of the people to control them further. It is exactly what I have been saying for the last 20 years. They want this country to become a socialist or communist society. They want to break the back of democracy. We are just sitting back and letting them. No one is fighting anything!
Even in England, they are protesting the smoking bans with great vigor. What are we doing? How sad it is when we as Americans have to admire England's fight against government control!? And.... the worst part is they belong to a monarchy/socialistic state.
I have never believed that there was any truth to global warming or any of the other garbage they are peddling. I have always seen it as Fear Mongering and government control. What better way to control the people than to scare the crap out of them!?
It is way past time to get the radicals out of the house and senate and to start getting them out of state legislature! I am really sick and tired of the peace, pot, make love not war generation trying to shove their philosphies down out throat!! I am sick and tired of the New World Order mentality! We are Americans, we are unique, and we should not bend to the rest of the world and their ideals. It is time to wake up people and it is time to take back this country!! We need to be isolationist again and protect ourselves from the liberals of the world!

Why am I reminded of the people who laughed at Noah? In trying so hard to discredit Al Gore you seem to be missing the larger point. Perhaps, in 1922 there was extensive glacial melting. Would that make it any less true now? Are the melting polar ice caps and drowning polar bears a hoax? Would our wisest course of action be to ignore all climatological anomalies because Al Gore thinks they may be important? Yay, ignorance.
