The first movie was about the birth of Narnia...the land was born by Aslans singing...its so beautiful. The Lion Witch and Wardrobe was the most popular, versions have been made before.
It should be made into a movie.
Lord of the Rings movies- excellent but they should not make a version of the Hobbit...that's just to make more money...and besides it would not be as special as the LOTR trilogy was.

rather sure and no - the 1st e book interior the series has rather been skipped. The Lion, the Witch and the cloth cabinet is the 2nd e book interior the series and Prince Caspian is the fourth e book interior the series in accordance to the chronology in Narnia. regardless of if, they're being produced interior the order that the books have been written. Chronicles of Narnia a million. The Magician's Nephew (1955) 2. The Lion, the Witch and the cloth cabinet (1950) 3. the pony and his Boy (1954) 4. Prince Caspian (1951) 5. The Voyage of the 1st easy Treader (1952) 6. The Silver Chair (1953) 7. The final conflict (1956)

I think The Hobbit would make an excellent film and their are rumors a live action film will be made but LOTR as a story stands by itself. So, does The Lion, the Witch and The Wardrobe, of course. I'm not sure I think The Magicians Nephew would make a good film. On one hand parts of the story would be visually spectacular (the part where they enter all the different worlds for example) but on the other hand, there isn't a lot of subplot in the story, which would make for a boring film. There are more layers in TLTWTW and it was easier to expand on much of the story, Edmund's betrayal for example. Also, the battle scenes make for a more visually friendly story. Many things that work in a written story don't translate to film very well.
The Magician's Nephew was not made first for a few reasons I think. Firstly, TLTWTW stands alone and there isn't any vital information to the story (TLTWTW) in the Magician's Nephew, which happens first chronologically but was not the first book written. Secondly, TLTWTW is a bit more known. Lots of people have read them all, but a great many people have only read the one.
They are making Prince Caspian and the Voyage of the Dawn Treader into a film, I've heard, but they are skipping over A Boy and his Horse, probably partly because it doesn't involve the Pevensie Children as much. And again, both of those are more visually friendly stories.

The Hobbit would be nice, but it is really a much different story than Lord is, and would not have added anything by being a 4-parter.
Now, if Peter Jackson can get it going as a separate movie, that would be sweet!

I never heard of the Narnia stories until the movie came out.
So you got to start somewhere. While it was basically a very good movie, I didn't like the extreme fantasy aspect that much.

YES! They should have. I really liked the first book. It sets the stage as to what Narnia really is as well as its original inhabitants.
As one poster said, TLTW&TW was the first book that CS Lewis wrote...but he then went back and wrote the book that chronologically comes before it. I don't know that many people would have been excited about that movie, though as many people have only read TLTW&TW.
As a series enthusiast and true fan, I would say yes...I'd love to see the true first book brought to film.

I read the first Narnia book "the magician's nephew" and I thought it was really good. I think if they can make a movie at least half as good as the book it would be awesome!

Actually, the original sequence of the books had the Lion, the Witch, & the Wardrobe as the first book (though out of order).
