ICF - is the Integrated Coach Factory situated at Perambur, Chennai. ICF Hr. Secondary school is a Railway run school at that Place.

It is very easy to reach. When you get down at Central Station at Chennai, you can take a local train leving from the same station to Avadi, or Tiruvallur and it will stop at ICF Station itself and the ICF factory, School, IFC Colony are very near to the station.

Do not try to go there by Bus or auto. Only local train is very convenient and near. Auto drivers in Chennai are cheats and you should learn to live without Autos there.-

ICF colony is close to the Anna Nagar east on the New Avadi road. It is about 8 kms from the Chennai central railway station. As a newcomer, i would recommend one of the two options: take a local train to Perambur (ICF) and from there you can take a rickshaw or walk to the location.

You can also take a autorickshaw from central station on a prepaid basis; fare should be around Rs. 60 to 80.

the station is on Poonamalee High Road; you will take the new Avadi road just after Kilapauk and follow this road straight till you reach your destination.

You can see the map, zoom and study on the following link:

type Chennai Central Railway station, Chennai and then click on the from here link and type ICF colony, Chennai. YOu will get the route and also can zoom and study the area very clearly.

Have a safe journey
