Easy Asnwer in Growing up in small town MN.
In the winter time, makeing snow forts, also, to get warm water at break time at sckool, make a smooth packed sliding path, soak it with water, to freeze solid, makes you go faster.

But in the Spring and Fall times it was fun to swing with the girls back in the 1960's and 70's and see how high we could get them to swing, when wearing their small short dresses. The good old days, Better than when my uncles and grandparents talked about standing next to sexy girls in dresses, with their shinning shoes and even a small round mirror, on their shoe to look up the girls dresses, back in the 1930's? guess girls have always dressed a little skimpy, and the boys have always found ways to try to get away with checking out those gals.
Part of what makes the world go round, isn't it? kids have to be kids when they are young and inocent, tell they get to be about 10 years old, then no more of that stuff.

At my elementary school, we had a huge mountain of dirt with weeds growing on it. They put 3 slides on the side of it. Going down that slide in the winter was so much fun!! You would go so fast, dang.

Play on the maypoles. Good gawd, there was a stampede come recess time ... everyone wanted to play on the maypoles. It was sooo much fun .. ty for the memories. :)
