Look you probably just got your sequence of events screwed up.
1. Preheat the Oven to 425
You probably just put the cat in before pre-heating.
Check the Oven!

Lift the lid of the box oh so slightly (without looking in), throw a bug - like a cricket or something - in there, then close the lid back up and wait. This will accomplish 2 things:
1. the bug can act as your observer proxy, and force the cat's superpositional state to collapse and choose one state(hopefully, the alive one, IF you like the cat)
2. cats love to mess with bugs, so if you don't hear stirring after the a little bit, you'll know the cat is toast, and you can set up services at the pet mortuary

Simply put, the issue is that the state of a particle or a system of particles is only defined once it is experimentally observed. Before observation, all states can be said to co-exist, and all that can be calculated by QM is the probability of observing each state.

And Oh...... I found it in a box outside my door in a "Problem child style" or "Little man" style!
