I'm 36 weeks and super ready to have my baby boy in my arms! I was just wondering if anyone can tell me when most babies drop or even if theres a certain time.

could even be as brief as a week before - this is a misleading condition - with my third baby - I never felt him 'drop'he was down really low from the beginning... perhaps what this means is that when you get really close you stop growing up and you grow out and down? You do have a smaller measurement at 38 weeks as apposed to 35 or 36 weeks...

I believe it's all random..some drop over the course of weeks...some drop right before and some never do. I never dropped, my mom didn't drop this last time. Just whenever the baby is ready and your body goes for it. I was enduced 9 days prior to due date and hadn't dropped.

I was induced @ 36 weeks due to preeclampsia. My son dropped about a week 1/2 prior to that.

If this is your first pregnancy, lightening should happen anytime. Subsequent pregnancies, however, this does not happen. Your ligaments and tendons are maxed out from prior pregnancies, so dropping doesn't happen. Anyway, chances are you will drop within the next couple of weeks. I'm right there with ya, I'm 35 weeks and tired of being pregnant!

Usually two weeks to four weeks before birth. Hang in there; you'll have the precious baby here soon. Congratulations.
