He'd be a perfect DH for the Yankees because they are perennial contenders for the World Series every year and that he does want to be associated with a winner! I'm a Giants fan, and think that if he does, he'll definitely win that ring he's always wanted to earn.

If somebody makes a perfect DH they should retire. DHs should be players that can play defensively but are the 4th outfielder or 5th infielder on the roster. Bonds makes a perfect fit for retirement if anything.

Though he has stated that he wants to play for atleast one more year, I dont think he'll play for any other team than the Giants.
I'd bet that he'll take a pay cut and stay in SF before he signed on as DH in NY.

Perfect for whom?
The Yankees or the other 29 teams in the league.
The starting offense of the yankees (at the start of the year) was $125 mil, about what the Red Sox pay for their entire team.

Sure, add another $17 mil to that.

Barry Bonds you say. Lets see. Old, overpaid, hasn't won a world series, declining, plays little to no defense, and trashes Boston. If you drop the declining he sounds like a certain pinstriped third basemen I know. Being a Boston fan, I say show him the money George.

you will possibly be precise approximately Mattingley being the hot supervisor by way of fact Steinbrenner loves him. yet there isn't any way the Yanks are signing bonds. i could choose to confirm Girardi take care of the Yanks yet i do no longer be attentive to what to think of precise now.

If BB had a personality that got along with others it might be.
BB won't seriously consider going to NY. More media attention is not what he needs. One episode of 'roids rage and he's gonna be hated by more NYers than dollars in his salary.

yes. bonds wants to play more but he can't play the field anymore, and the yankees could use a better surer DH.
