I am going to be having a party for my 7 year old when school goes back. His birthday was the 13th. I need some cool and not too expensive ideas. I want something really cool though

I am not sure what your son is in to, but a Peter Pan party (or something like a Pirate party) is always fun. Out of card board boxes you could paint and make a treasure chest filled with goodies and party favors. Make a map and have the kids try to find this treasure. Make Pirate hats for everyone to wear. Dress your house up like a ship by handing white sheets from your ceiling and putting a long black pole in the middle of the room with painted paper rolls, cut circles out and paint them black for cannon balls and cut out a big cannon and tape to the wall. You could make all sorts of treats like alligator cookies and ocean to drink ( blue koolaid or gatorade), worm cake ( the kind you put into cups and have candy worms inside). There are so many funy cheap things with this theme. Hope this helps. Have a good party

first of all :happy birthday to your son.
i am 21 and i wish i had children...not yet married but if i was a mum i would think of...the following:
1)make a theme based party: such as his friend should wear disney characters or soemthing like batman ,superman, and so on or medieval theme or action figures theme or heroes theme
2)make it full of games that interest them like races and also create small gifts (no need to be expensive, just buy cheap sweets or give out stickers for the winners)
3)dont make it a pool party cos some kids might drown
4)take them to game arcade where they can play games and eat there and also be supervised by adults
5)go to rachealray. com for recipes that are cheap to do for parties and for kids
6)go to a sfae park and make a barbeque party
7)scavenger hunt in the living room

9)buy pizzas of 3 types and let the kids eat it ( they wont eat much and anyway you can also have spare for you and your family)
