Our current government is broken (fact is, it has been broken for quite some time). Funny thing is this - neither the Republican party nor the Democratic party are to blame. The blame for the current state of affairs rests squarely on the shoulders of each and every one of us. We, the people, are responsible for the lousy shape our government is in by not keeping in touch with the basic premise and principles that this country was founded on. Our government has succeeded in dumbing down the population enough to where nobody really remembers how or why this country exists. The government no longer fears the population that it governs, therefore, it will do what it wants, how it wants, when it wants, and do it with impunity.
Now it is un-patriotic and un-American to question the government. Dissent is rapidly vanishing into the background with constant ridicule of individuals who speak up - or out - against the policies that are being implemented by the Government.
'Tis a sad sorry shape our Government is in. Our founding fathers would be appalled at what has become of the Republic.

We definitely need a change. We need to get out of Iraq before more people die. Did you hear that the parliment took a summer vacation while they are supposed to be making progress with our protection over there! Wow, I really have a different perception, Since Bush was elected twice! I can't believe people will vote out of fear and not use their brains. Oh yeah the first time was a fraud, but a second time? Come on people we need to do better than this!

We really need a change and soon. We need to realize that we are not going to continue to be the power that we are, China, India and Japan surpass us. They compete for oil, we need to find alternatives to our current way of life.
We need to realize that we cannot police the world. It costs too much money that could be going into programs to help the people at home.
The welfare system needs to be revamped, too many people are just sitting on there butts collecting checks, having children to avoid working and are rewarded for it.
The middle class NEEDS help.
The division of wealth, the rich stay rich idea needs to change.
We ALL need to vote and be informed. We need the media to stop lying to us. Politics should not influence the media, which is why the internet is sooo important.
Lobbying needs to be done away with.
Congress needs to step up, forget party lines and accomplish something. NO MORE VACATIONS!
I could go on and on for days....
You get the idea.

I think they are lousy.
Just ten mins ago I read that that state department has collected 22 million dollars from fathers who owe child support. LOL... I mean the reason we supposedly need passports to go to mexico and canada is because of the greater / increased need for security right ! they aren't worried about our security ... lol. they are worried about collecting passport fees and getting more information about each citizen so they can make us pay more to them.
they are always like that. such a scam.

I think the Constitution is profound and relevant today, but the legislatures are ignoring much of it and making too many questionable laws.
