So I was stupid and found this guy on Craigslist who needed someone to help list his stuff on Ebay in the US because he was in the UK. He had an electronics company which I looked up and saw the website, etc, and it looked pretty legit to me. So I listed and sold two items, money goes to my paypal, then my bank. I take my cut and then am told to send the rest via Western Union to them asap. They tell me I must do it in cash at a location, I can't do it with a debit card. For one, I have never taken out more than like 300 bucks from my bank before, and two, at the start of this whole thing they didn't mention Western union or I would have said no. I know thats a prime scamming red flag. What should I do now????

Thanks for you advice so far, it didn't even cross my mind that these people might not even send the items. Makes so much sense! I have the money still, so I contacted the buyers and told them to please let me know when they get the items. Thanks everyone!!!! I feel so much better :)

I got a question on eBay from a guy from Russia, or some European country.. case is that I didn't like the fact that I was going to be receiving money and transferring the money out via Western Union.
Try returning the money from the buyers and explain the situation to them, then report these guys to the FBI

it somewhat is a pretend, it somewhat is a rip-off, little doubt approximately it! regrettably you may no longer capture them, they use kiosk desktops so the IP handle can't be traced to any specific guy or woman. i might merely digital mail him and say thank you and it is the delivery monitoring quantity (make something up) wish you get it quickly. Then overlook approximately him. the only thank you to flee those pesky scammers is to sell on eBay to validated eBay and PayPal purchasers (ie genuine people who do easily elect your merchandise and intend to pay you) or if on those unfastened web pages make it "in guy or woman and earnings basic terms well-known" transaction. You meet them someplace risk-free and take alongside a chum. a real shopper would not have a situation with that, they have an inclination to compliment to work out the object beforehand they supply up the money! it is this form of disgrace that a marvelous form of those scammers harm it for straightforward human beings attempting to sell (or purchase) extra products. Cheers

Yes, report it to the authorities. It's definitely a scam. You'll end up sending the scam artists your money and you'll never get money from paypal because the merchandise will never be delivered.
