Im 56 now and the years are flying by, when I was young it didn't use to seem that way. When I was a child it seemed like it took forever for just one year to pass. Why is this?

Doesn't "seem" that way to me.
It's a fact. We are traveling down hill, and gaining speed.

I swear (i dont actually know but this is my guess), u do less as u get older so time flies by. When u were younger u got out into the world more, got mixed up in other ppls stuff, got into trouble. Now, u sit at your house watch some discovery channel, garden, make some food and go to sleep. So it seems like time is flying because ur just not doing anything

Less new things in the world

As a child you are soaking up every inch of everything around you. As you get older there is a lot of "been there, done that"

when you were little you WANTED to get older so it seemed like it was taking forever but now you probably don't want to get older so it feels like time is going by faster...got it?

There is that point in time we come to understand "time" and soon as that happens. It just flys right on by.
