Animal Abuse, why?

Why is animal abuse now so popular?
Its darn right terrible! Why would anyone do such a thing?
Why!? Animals are like us. Im sure they too have feelings, I mean call me crazy, but they are hurt just as well if someone abused human kind.
By all means, I will never support a circus that has elephants in it. I know, they abuse the elephants.
But, it's so hard not to do the things that we are already use to, meaning like eat meat when the cows, chicken, and pigs could be easy abused in machine factorys. Why? Why does our society have to be so cruel, make hurt, and destory?

I agree with you, animal abuse is wrong. But on the other hand, we humans eat meat just like other animals. I mean, I don't think it's right by any means to torture an animal, or kill it just for the pure sport of it, I mean that is just sick. But I eat meat, I mean, I don't LOVE meat, and I honestly don't even eat it everyday, but I do eat it. But I feel, you have to respect the animal if you are going to eat it. I respect the animal in the fact that before every meal (or at least ones that have meat invovled) I say a prayer for that animal. I mean, you may think that I am wrong or a bad person, but the fact of the matter is we are not the only animals on this planet that eat meat, and no matter what you do there will always be creatures out there with a blood lust. Sad, I know......

we as humans need to eat meat, we can't just run around eating carrot sticks.... Also people use animals for fighting because it makes a lot of money. Hey, some circus's don't abuse their animals and work up a strong bond and the elephants listen to them better than using violence. Our society is deprived from greed and power, its how it will always probably go. We won't turn into some peaceful era where we help the less fortunate and save the sharks, a lot quicker than how we are now. You shouldn't raise animals on to a pedestal that's higher than the human race. True animals are abused, but what about that abused woman that lives across the street of the bums that wander around without a goal in life because their own goal was torn down with the flash of lightning, or what about that little girl that won't make it to her next birthday because shes dieing of cancer? We as humans have so much more issues than animals. Besides, some animals are raised just on us getting food, they are the animals that will continue life on this planet along with veggies, fruits and water. Some animals have more emotion than other animals, some animals have only the emotion to kill and get food for their young, what about them? Please don't tell me your going to take a trip all around the ******* earth and stop all of those animals from killing other animals......

I have been an advocate of humane treatment of animals for many years. I contribute to many of these organizations, and for the most part, legislation has come to the rescue of these poor creatures,by imposing fines and imprisonment for animal abuse. However, much remains to be done. I agree with you 100% that there is a lot of meanness, cruelty and evil in the world, and how anyone can abuse a helpless creature and still live with their conscience is beyond me. I would urge everyone to do his or her part in reporting animal abuse to the Humane Society or the local law-enforcement agencies in their area. Thank you for supporting humane treatment of our feathered and furry friends.

It's inevitable that we need some animals for food to survive. We can go vegetarian but it's just like a vampire choosing human blood over tomato juices.

Personally, I think other than consumption, animals should be treated with care and respect. In circus, animals performing can also be treated well. It all depend on the owners.

Humans eat animals. There is nothing wrong with that, that's called survival. If you were on a deserted island with a tiger and there was nothing to eat, i'm pretty sure the tiger would eat you unless you ate him first--- it's called nature.
BUt then you have these disgusting people that torture animals for amusement. these people will soon get what they deserve, these people have no justification and should be arrested for hurting an animal just because they can. But then when they die, they will have to answer to a higher court.
